Speaker: Dean Burnett

Co-founder of the Cardiff branch of Skeptics in the Pub, Dean Burnett is a Doctor of Neuroscience, a skeptic, and in a variety of capacities, a comedian. For over 5 years now he has practised a bizarre and, some would say, extreme form of Science Communication and Public engagement. His surreal background and increasingly unlikely experiences led him to the world of skepticism and rationality, and he will happily share his story with anyone who thinks the skeptic community is too serious.
Join Dean as he details his exploits, which include dealing with dubious equations, media misrepresentations, the possible neuropsychological underpinnings of belief and rationality, and encounters with the media, irate activists, Doctor Who fans, drunken hecklers and even Paramount Studios, Hollywood. He is determined to encourage skeptics and rationalists to laugh at themselves. Or, failing that, just him.
Free entrance, but donations welcome
